Pond soon after restoration April 2013
THE POND AT QUAKER WOOD
When we took over in 2008 the pond was overgrown and shaded.
The following year it dried out completely.
We cleared much of the surrounding vegetation and felled overhanging trees before digging out and enlarging the whole pond, with the assistance of a grant from Norfolk Community Foundation.
Since the work was completed the water has cleared. Waterside interest has increased and life in the pond has been plentiful.
Frog spawn in 2016 was exceptional
